History
“When I was first asked to develop the Whidbey Walks map books there was very little trail signage on the island’s trails,” Elaine Woods of Whidbey Walks explains.
“The only way to find a trailhead was to talk to a local who was sure to finish giving directions by adding ‘. . .and you can’t miss it!’ Well, unfortunately many of the trailheads on Whidbey Island are quite easy to miss! So we asked members of our local walking group, Meet Feet, to test the driving directions which are included for each trail.”
