In addition, one of our members has sent this reminder of our passing seasons:

The swallows are gone.
There are no robins.
The bald eagle has not yet returned.
I am lonely on August 30.

Coda
Out on the deck at home September 2nd while beating carpet pieces over the railing I hear a chittering and a chattering accompanying aerial acrobatics over the neighbor's roof. Six swallows swooping, returning to say "Good-bye" and "It's not forever."
