Hand Crafted Walking Sticks & Staffs

The Whidbey Walks shop, home of hand-crafted sticks and staffs, opened it’s doors on Earth Charter Day, 2002.

Our vision is to encourage outdoor hiking and walking by creating beautiful, sturdy and unique companions to your walks or hikes. Use on a mountain or trail hike to increase travel speed without increased energy. A well fitted stick will increase poise and balance indoors or outside on wet or slippery pavement.

If you are interested in hiking on Whidbey Island try our pocket sized waterproof, illustrated Whidbey Walks Trail Guides.

This quaint shop is nestled in a meadow bordering a highway recently given the federal designation as one of the nations Scenic Byways.

Our workshop is located onsite and you may find us at work sanding or finishing one of our staffs when you drop in.

Whidbey Walks also mails staffs and sticks around the country. Many visitors to our island bring sticks home with them. Airplane security is not a problem since our sticks contain no hidden knives or weapons. The Whidbey Walks Shop is located just 7 miles from the Clinton ferry at 2326 Newman Road, 2 miles south of Freeland.
